ABOUT
Joey and Willoe reside in Fairbanks Alaska with their ever growing pack of sled dogsĀ (and a jack russell andĀ a cat)
Joey
Joey has always been a huge animal lover ever since he was a kid.
He was able to find his passion with sled dogs in his early 20s, working for a few different tour operations around the country.
He is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, so he is no stranger to the cold.
Joey started VOA Racing in Voyageur National Park in northern Minnesota, where he got his first 5 sled dogs and began growing his kennel.
Soon after, he moved up to Fairbanks, Alaska, to focus on dog racing.
He met Willoe in Fairbanks, and that is where they run their kennel now!
Joey and his team of dogs have competed in the Copper Basin 300, Yukon Quest Alaska 300, and the Yukon Quest Alaska 550.
He is planning on running the Copper Basin 300, Yukon Quest Alaska 750, and the IDITAROD this race season!

Willoe
Willoe grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and has always had a passion for outdoor winter activities.
She loves a good adventure and after a short summer in Juneau, she moved up to Alaska for good to become a commercial fisherman, and to learn more about the sport of dog mushing.
She worked for a few great mushers around the state, and was finally settling down and growing her own kennel when she met Joey.
Now they run their kennel together in Two Rivers, Alaska, with 32 amazing sled dogs, one feisty jack russel, and a fearless cat!
Willoe has ran the Goose Bay 150 and the Two Rivers 200 dog sled races.
She plans on running the Copper Basin 300 this season with some of the young dogs in the kennel!
